F550s do not come with a Cummins, 650 is the smallest ford with a cummins.

I can put any transmission with the cummins that is in the title. There are kits to bolt a cummins to just about anything.

Really, the only money lost would be the core charge as I will have the best trans that can be built. I doesnt matter if its a ford, dodge or chevy trans, it will be built to the max.

I doubt the 650 trans would be much good for racin, but I dont know.

Good info on the allison guys, I learned some new stuff there.
I would like to know more about the 5R100 though if anybody has any insight.

I could just buy an auto dodge and get the 48 built, but I LOVE the inside (and the outside I guess for that matter) of a 4dr ford, and if I am gonna go to the trouble to put in a cummins motor, I may as well have the tuffest/fastest auto I can get.
