4bt conversion??

i am a newbie to the site and just recently a member, i am a college student and would like to do a conversion to save on some fuel prices and have something cool and unique to drive.
i'm currently driving a 318 gasser,( ) Mileage sux(12 hwy) i was wonderin about either a durango or a jeep with a 4 cyl cummins, what do you guys think? where would i get a motor and what would be costs??

I'm also lookin for a 98 or newer 24 valve shortbed QC if anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated

4bt's can be found in old Fedex trucks.

Also in Frio-Lay and other bread trucks. That way you can get a GM trans with it. I've seen a few on ebay, and on this site, and on TDR(I only go there for the classifieds). Also, check with www.cummins-conversion.com and www.jeep2diesel.org
I've heard of a guy on jeep2diesel getting 30 mpg's with his 4BT'd YJ.
