1995 Dodge CTD......
 

my buddy's uncle has one adn it is like mine a 4X4 5Spd with a 4.10 rearend but somehow has a different tranny it has a "L" gear i guess "L" meaning low or bulldog where mine has first and the he has 4 more gears now my first gear is pretty low it is a 10MPH gear wound out but is is only about a 5mph gear wound out and he said he bought the truck new in 1995 and it is the stock tranny!?!? Anyone ever saw or heard of anythinglike this??

Well, Ford uses L-1-2-3-4-5 on their 6-speeds which is the same thing as 1-2-3-4-5-6. They just use "L" for "low" instead of "1". Your 5-speed has a low geer, "1". The 95's only came with granny gear 5speed also. You should have the same trannys maybe just a different decal on the shifter. Other than that I would asume something on his truck ain't original.

my 95 shifter says L,1,2,3,OD and it is a cab and chassis 3500 with the 4:10 gears.
