08 Ford Dyno Run

Here's a link to an 08 Ferd on the dyno ........ pretty pathetic considering it has twin turbos ( 274 hp - 630 tq ) !!! I have never dynoed mine but STOCK the "600" lays down about the same hp and torque is a bit less but come on ......... THIS is the best they can do with the much acclaimed piezo injectors and twin turbos I AM NOT IMPRESSED !!!!!

The Eddie Baur Edition along with the Harley Davidson model were not enough I guess ......... why didn't DC come up with the tailgating /brush clearing pkg ??? Enjoy !!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3ma2I2-N6A&eurl=

274/630 is pretty respectable from a stock truck. The twins are for spool to reduce emissions, they are much smaller than the twins we are used to seeing on a bombed Cummins...

630tq? i would be thrilled with that. what are they claiming 650 at the fly wheel? that is a 3.1% power loss which tell me it is UNDER rated. Typically you lose 15% from the flywheel to the wheels.

No offense, but that logic is quite flawed. I believe both the piezo injectors and the twin turbos were used to conform to the strict emissions laws. I'm sure if power was what they were after, ignoring emissions, they could have had 350+ at the wheels no problem.

I think the big three are doing a great job to be able to keep increasing the power while still complying with the stringent emissions requirements.

That torque is incredibly impressive. They are rated at 650 at the flywheel. I'd really like to see the curve on it but I'd imagine with as fast spooling as those little twins are it would be long and flat. I only hope that the new dodge can pull off those kinda numbers bone stock.

Whats really bad is, I've got a friend that bought the '08 King Ranch Edition, and after a 1000 miles, its in the shop getting all 8 injectors replaced What a waist of $58,000

I think for a stock truck the numbers are good.

You really can't complain with that kind of power out of the box. Especially with a DPF and dead stock. What did you expect with '08 emissions? If power was the primary concern you could ditch the DPF and run a nasty program. Look at how potent the bombed HPCR cummins and D-maxes are. I'm sure the 6.4 would be right up there too. Of course now that they all run DPF's bombing will be much different. I agree that if that thing puts to the ground 630 ft lbs. there's no way it's only 650 at the crank.
