New Sub-Forum for #40
O.K. First off I am still having probs w/ my cable service and modem. Good ol'e Comcast. It may be a couple days B4 I can post again: so here goes....
Thanks Kevin for the leg work on the Dyno.
For those that missed the last meeting. I am willing to provide out of pocket expence for drinks and ice and chip in for the Burger meat. I have volunteers to bring the grill and charcoal, condiments, snacks, etc.
I had many e-mails on folks telling me that they were going to attend the last meeting and none of them showed. The same guys and 1 new member showed up. I was very dissapointed to say the least. My e-mails were split between 2 forums, DTR and the "OTHER FORUM". I was expecting a good number to show. It was not the case unfortunately. It is hard to get folks to show up who live north of I-285, let alone those that live south of Atlanta. CASE IN POINT. There is a lot of interest in DYNO DAY. Not just for us who live here in the metro area but guys who say they are willing to travel from farther counties away. It still will require much effort on all of our part to make it happen.
What I am saying is that: when a day is secured and we make a commitment to the Dyno-shop owner to provide at least ten trucks for him to come in and open his buisness to us on a weekend we have to hold up our end of the bargain. That is why Kevin and I decided to collect monies up front. At our next meeting I will collect and issue receipts for those interseted in participating. I don't want to show up on our scheduled day and have only 5 guys participating. That would not be fair to anyone. If after meeting all the members at our next meet; any person that does not feel comfortable paying up front and securing a spot, and the first 10 trucks have been secured, just pay the Dyno-shop on our scheduled day and be on a first come/ first served basis after the first pre-paid 10 trucks finish. Seems like a fair way to do it......
So up next, who is definatley in? as pres. I AM

!!! Well spoken PRES!
Well my money is in. I will provide all the stuff that me and wild man(Lake Jumper..)...LOL said we would bring! Just let me know...I say pick a date and see who pays or says that there coming. Just my 2 cents......
Either of the dates are fine by me. Depending on what day the next meeting is I'll try to make it. If I can't make the meeting I can promise I'll call the shop up and pay by credit card over the phone, just tell me when.
I have been calling Battleground since yesterday and nobody is answering or returning my calls. As soon as I get a price I will post it and then we can haggle on the day. I work right across the street from their shop so I can drop off any deposit we collect. When is a good day for the December meet? How about Tues the 18th? Venue TBD?
Have you guys seen this Video?....I think i will do one for our dyno meeting if i'm there!.....My money will be there regardless!...lol...http://www.unrulynfs.com/copmine/dis...album=3&pos=35
i hope that the meet turned out that big!!! but i wouldnt recomend doing the burnouts n stuff over there.... sure way to get kicked outta the dyno and get arrested... its a main hwy they are on.....
len you have mail.....
len you have mail.....
Whatever day yall decide, it dont really matter. I have no Sundays available unitl the 23rd and Family will be in town by then so I will just try to make it whenever I can. Due to the fact that the same four people come to the meetings, we should probably try to accomodate those that have special requests so they can participate as well.
if not a sunday what about a saturday night?? its hard for some people to travel 1+ hours to a meet on a weeknight when we/they have to be at work early in the morning.... but i do know that theres not much of anything in the middle.....
This may not go over very well but I say we forget the Dec meet, everyone pays Battleground on their own once we have a price and we will meet on either the 19th or 26th of January, whichever we decide on.
That video was awesome. What ever is decided on the Dyno day, you all can plan on me being there. I don't think my truck will do a burn out unless the pavment is covered in ice. Im as stock as can be but it will be a good record for me to see as I modify in the future. Mike, sorry to hear about your situation. My family is praying for you and your family over your health.
