on another note, i have been talking to a few guys and they are wanting to get a dodge truck meet going, and they are all for it, i know that at the same time id like to get a diesel meet going 1st, but im always down for anything...

we have pretty much come to the conclusion that sundays are for the most part best for every1 either that or maybe a saturday evening so maybe we can go have a few brewskis

anyways let me know what you guys think...

Hey guys, sorry I haven't gotten to a meet yet but I plan on it as soon as time permits.

Anyway, I'm getting rid of a bunch of stuff in the garage before I move to Macon, so check it out.

When's the next meet? Anywhere closer than kennesaw?

Chris, that is definatly a load bearing wall.. You can build a header or add a laminated beam depending on the span/length. It is holding the center of the second floor, floor joyces .

Sorry for the late reply, Trick or Treat came around real quick. I have been eyeballing this thread for a while. I see that most are the west side of atlanta. I live in Rabun Gap right next to the NC,SC line. I would like to meet up with you all one day though. I'll even kick Tritont off the mountain top and make him come with me.

Hi Guys,
Apologies for not being at wrench night. My hand is healing nicely. I am very inerested in a Dyno day; however, My clutch is on its last leg and slips badly in 3rd and 4th when I get into the skinny pedal. Therefore I probably wouldn't get an accurate reading until I replace it.
Len and everyone else, I am considering a Sachs 13 inch double disc. Do you think this is overkill and Len do you rent transmission jacks? I have been told that the Getrag and the NP205 can be removed together by just removing the bolts that attach the tranny to the bell housing. If this is the case I am considering replacing the clutch myself.
What do you guys think, reccomend, etc...?

Joseph

Joseph, glad your hand is healing well. That clutch might be a footfull for everyday driving: 13disc. Better ask in the 1st gen and see what others chime in with. Been a while since I've had to drive a hand shaker in a 3/4 ton truck. I do not have tranny jacks for rent. I do have regular floor jacks that you may be able to adapt with straps. I did when pulling out my tranny from my cj-7 and it worked O.K.

I hope to receive my Con OFE 13" clutch from South Bend Clutch today, that baby was not cheap. I went to Harbor freight yesterday and purchased a HD 3 ton floor jack, 6 ton jack stands, a transmission adapter to go on the 3 ton jack, and a creeper for me to ease things. I have a buddy coming up from Savannah next week and hope to save a few bucks by installing it ourselves. Wish me luck.
