WVO Kits

Anybody running or know much about these kits out there that are available?

Been looking at Greasecar and Votech mainly.

Your going to run into the pros & cons , I'm a con with the WVO , especially with anything out side of the P pumped trucks , not that I would recommend WVO for those either , bio diesel is good for most anything except for the common rail , high pressure systems like yours , so you add WVO & common rail , is begging for trouble , then you run into the believers - theres no talking to , they just believe .

Have you been running the WVO much? I am still look into it because of the VP44 issues.

Not enough to be helpful. Maybe 5000mi at most. I save it for highway trips only and use biodiesel for city driving. I think the veggie stuff needs good consistent heat to burn cleanly.
Id avoid it with a VP44 unless you can reliably heat the injector lines themselves rather than the fuel going into the pump. Maybe get a bunch of nichrome wire and make 6 heating strips? Or fabricate some means to get coolant over the lines? Viscosity can be lowered with heat or with kerosene. You could maybe manage with a blended fuel through the VP44.
usually you heat the fuel going into the pump with heated lines, filters and heat exchangers with the temps reaching 160-ish just before the pump. I dont know how well the VP44 would tolerate that. some folks have had no problems.
Im looking to set up some electric heat to bring the temps up closer to 220F.

The heat is what I am worried about. I know that there are some vp44 powered trucks doing it. I started looking for a 12v that will suit the need. I might start looking for info on the p-pump conversion but I don't think it will be worth it just to burn WVO.

I am about to build and install my own WVO system for the truck in my sig. I would suggest biodiesel for a VP44. I went with the WVO setup because of the dangerous chemicals needed to make Biodiesel. WVO will be less expensive for me. Bio and WVO have their pro's and con's, it's all about what suits you best. There are several guys running 24v VP44 trucks on WVO with NO problems. It's all about setting your system up right.

Id see if you can get by with some heat on the fuel to the pump, maybe 120F, then use electric heat on the injector lines to do the rest. You can limit the heat on the incoming fuel by installing ball valves in line with it to limit the coolant flow. Maybe adapt a thermostat?
you can get a decent digital temp controller with thermocouple off ebay for like 40$

I don't see why there would be any need for injection line heaters. If you use a flat plate heat exchanger near the injection pump, heat the filter and heat the fuel line from the tank with coolant you should be good. You should be able to get it up to 160* F before the IP. The IP will heat it up more before injection when it puts it under pressure. I don't see the need for anything electrical on the system on a 12valve unless you use solenoid valves.
