Wmo!!!

Been runnin WMO for approx. 40K now, and just took a trip from Georgia to D.C. to take in the sights. Spent 50 bucks on fuel the whole trip. around 1400 miles. I'm happy to say the least. Only problem is I got off the freeway in S.C. on the way back and it cut off on me. Took 10 seconds of cranking to get it started back up, but other than that no problems. I call it great success for the WMO crowd.

At 20 mpg it would take 70 gallons of fuel to go 1400 miles.
With cheapest diesel at lets say $2/ you only bought 25 gallons.
That means you added 45 gallons of WMO, almost 75%.
No wonder your engine cut off, bet it smoked pretty good too.
Might be able to get away with it on a 1st gen or a 12 valve
but it seems a bit steep for an electronic engine.

I ran all different percentages in my 1st gen, including 100% oil. It always ran the same, but the exhaust did smell different with pure motor oil. It just doesn't seem to be a problem with mechanical injection.

I have done 100% on my first gen also but the newer electronic injection trucks dont seem to like it that much.

I dont know what percentages my current low tank is at with WMO, but its been a lot recently, but at first cold startup, the engine idles a little low. Gotta give it some throttle and let it build a bit of heat for it to even out. Once its been rev'd or driven a bit, as close as the end of the block, its back to normal.

Well I warmed it up a little, then poured in the rest with WMO when the engine was nice and hot. Ran like a champ and didn't smoke at all unless I was WOT like any other diesel truck on the road. My lowest percentage was 7 gal. of #2 to a tank with the rest wmo. I'm pretty sure about that, gotta go find the reciept to make sure.

It probably is too steep but I've run 5 gallons of Kerosene with the rest WMO last summer to keep her running when we were out of fuel here in Georgia(or everyone just panicked and bought fuel at the same time), and when I did find it a gallon costs half my body.

Well, it worked good for me and has for around 40,000 miles. So I'm not complaining. or atleast till it kicks out on me. The experiment rolls on...
