Angry Thats it...

When 80 dollars wont even fill half my tank im saying ENOUGH! of this . Truck is parked and wont be moving for a long time, im going to ride my pedal bike everyday, rain or shine. When i bought my truck is august of 2003 and diesel was 1.49 per gallon the price was justified, now at 4.89/gallon this is just a bunch of bull......

I've already parked mine in favor of my more efficient VW Cabrio and use the truck for towing the 5th or trash runs. Sometimes I drive it during the week 'cause I miss it. If diesel gets too much higher the family camping trips are going to be few and far between.

I put my 98 Gasser GMC 2500 back on the road. Was just being used around the yard . It gets a little less MPG that the CTD but when your paying close to if not more than a dollar a gallon less it adds up... This morning 3.89 for regular ,diesel is 4.99.

And I wish it would stop raining everyday so I could ride once and a while. Raingear sucks

My 3 series is over 113K with a lifetime mileage of 29.6 combined. This weekend I have to take the truck to my parents with about 9K in tow, 330 miles each way. Hmmm, that's gonna be ~$225.00 round trip in fuel.

Good times!

I drive a Toyota Yaris for commuting and just running around town. I typically just drive the trucks when needed or when my ego needs a boost Been doing it for 6 months now.

Yep, same here....draging a truck load of stuff to Forney, Tx then to Plano, Tx then to Granbury, Tx. Sunday back to Forney and then home to SA. Will probably log 1k miles. Filled up yesterday $4.23/gal and the pump cut off @ $100 not even filling it up. Not a happy camper.

Last weekend dropped $300 in the boat and $100 in diesel just to get to the lake. Wow, don't think I'll be making weekend trips to the lake either. I looked into taking the bus to work but the 15mi route takes 1:15....not much benefit there either.

Its funny that Im not seeing fewer cars on the road.. in fact its worse.
I was frazzled by the time I got home yesterday from dirt riding.. so many people poking along in the left lane.

yes here in nc there seem to be just as many if not more people on the road. and they are not slowing down either. i have 2 trucks running only 1 right now . but i need it for my business 150 to fill it now opposed to 2003 60 to fill. this is a very serious matter and the problem is all the oil men have the politicans in there pockets. ie our own president .we need to remove our system and put business men in charge of this country. get rid of the tree huggers as well. the rise in fuel is just plain bull they are taking advantage of election year. this country is going down hill fast

I think traffic in SA has actually been lighter in the past couple of weeks, could be due to colleges getting out too though.

I think the cars per capita is going up as well, think of how many people you know that is buying a little commuter car and still keeping their big vehicle for special occasions. Myself included. Just look at my sig.

Ran 330 miles to Chicago and back to help move the last of my grandmother's belongings out of her (previous) retirement center. She passed away about a month ago (age 99) and she likley could not have imagined I would pay $4.52/gal for this trip and would even be excited about that price!

That said I did a quick hand-calc fill to fill and got 23.01 mpg. It's hard to imagine a gas truck getting close to that level.
