Thanks B.C. Government for 22c tax hit on biodiesel
When biodiesel first came out the British Columbia Government was all over it said hey its good for the environment so we will cut down the fuel tax on it.While I guess it has become so popular and they seen all the money they were losing, so now there going to tax it 22 cents more a Liter roughly 1 dollar a gallon. What a bunch of money grabbers
Motor Fuel Tax Act
Effective January 1, 2010, ethanol and renewable diesel fuels will be taxed at the same rate as the fuel with which they are blended or, when sold as pure ethanol or biodiesel, will be taxed as gasoline and diesel fuel.

I think they do just testopacity testing on pre-1998 Diesel vehicles
models using the IM147 dynamometer test. but I have never been through with any of my trucks because I just refuse to deal with the idiots and get my GVWR changed to a higher weight than I am exempt from the AirCare program.
They do have ACOR which is a mobile inspection program operated by the BC Ministry of Transportation. Teams of certified ACOR inspectors run roadside tests of heavy-duty diesel vehicles, looking for excessive smoke emissions.I would think if they caught you smoking the place out or someone calls the hot line and rats you out there may be trouble.
I'm stuck taking the Corvette in and I will not let the monkeys drive anymore the last guy grinded my new tranny and clutch so much I almost kick the crap out of him.Said he never had driven a standard before

No offence but you live in a Socialized Country, I was listening to my satellite radio the other day and there is a show that comes on ,on the weekend, and they were talking about how Canada has told all business in Ontario they can't use the whole work Cigar in any advertisement , not to mention you can't smoke anywhere in that area , Kinda puts the damper on anyone who owns a business that sells smoking items , they are trying to do it here too we and on your coat tails , falling fast with our current Clown in office

fuel tax
we also live in a socialized country. we have socialized police, schools, roads, military, fire services, retirement (Social Security/medicare) we all pay for them through various fees and taxes all the time but only some use them sometimes (even though most could whenever they wanted /needed to) this = socialism... also the state, federal, and local parks; wildlife preserves ;disaster response ect......
anyway i feel your pain there buddy, we also had a tax cut or subsidy on biodiesel but it expired in january and they have refused to vote on it to reinstate or extend it. busy with the healthcare debate. write your congressman or get on NBB.com for info in the USA tax subsidy
(I thought biodiesel was a green job
????)

It makes you wonder what kind of government you have when a convicted felon is running your province. Mr Gordon was nailed for drunk driving in Hawaii if I remember correctly and was found guilty.
Being a Government official must be a get out of jail card. A good portion of us would have lost their job over something like that.
I left BC because of the way it was run and have never looked back. Most people know BC as "Bring Cash"
For the most part, none of the provinces are perfect but BC should be way ahead of most of them. Oil, Forestry, Fishing, Tourism, Port city, railway and transportation hubs, etc, etc, they have it all but it gets squeezed to death by Government.
Don't get me wrong, BC is a beautiful province and has fantastic people but the governing body is slowly killing the province.

Hi Homestead,
I agree with your comments 100%. The agenda is to raise/steel more $$ from all the ppl here in higher this higher that, less services, privatization, sell offs, harder to get anything back from the "system" anymore. I too have been thinking of leaving as I had been getting work in AB the last 2 years but that has dried up completely. Couple irons in the fire here but as you said it is becoming a place for the "Rich Only". Say La V..
