well, it's still a fossil fuel. not sure what the stats are for for quantity of NG we can harvest and convert, but either way...i believe that with the continuing rise in our use of fuel and an ever dwindling supply, we will be using any and all available resources and technologies as they become more and more economically equivalent to the current petro-paradigm

 

Pretty cool stuff. GTL process uses coal. The Germans perfected this back in WW2.
