Don't you hate it when they don't put diesel prices on the signs?

I did read an article today in the Omaha paper. Nebraska is opening a biodiesel plant that will produce 35 million gallons of biodiesel annually. Hopefully that will help a little around here when it opens in 2007.

 

Yeah, but when they do post it and it is $2.999 that is rough to take in.

 

I paid $2.69 a gallon last night. Last week at the same store it was $2.59. Ticked me off, but it was raining like a cats and dogs....and I needed fuel and didn't want to go hunting around for a better price. ka-ching....somebody gouged me.

 

yep...it has always been blamed on rising oil cost...Oil has been way quite a bit recently...So why is fuel going up?? Profit taking??

 

its sad when i saw 2.49 today and said to myself, "shat, that is cheap. and the real bad thing is that diesel is made in the same process as gas but since it is more widely used it is gauged more easily.

 

I've read that the increased prices are due to a diesel fuel shortage in Europe.
US refiners can make more money shipping their fuel to Europe plus create an artificial shortage in the US to justify raising prices here.

 

I think they raise the price everytime there's a new phase of the moon.

No...wait, they do it more often than that.

I fill up as soon as the gauge shows I'm down to 3/4 tank. I can take pain better in small doses.

 

I paid $2.349/gal in South Coffeyville, OK yesterday. That's their cash price. Otherwise it's $2.399/gal.
