$2.45 in SA...A news article reported by Valero refinery today....
“It has been a very tough year for gasoline,” Klesse said. “Next year will be a very difficult year for gasoline. We have the economy impacting it — it's rising unemployment. People don't feel as wealthy. Price is not an issue.” Those conditions are prompting Valero to make more distillates, including jet fuel and diesel. Valero plans for distillates to make up 40 percent of its production, he said. “Distillates are continuing to be excellent” because of strong demand around the world, Klesse said. Distillates tend to be more of the engine driving growth around the world, particularly diesel, he said. “We're maximizing diesel where we can in our system,” Klesse said. “The economic incentive is huge to make diesel.” |

$1.78 a gallon for diesel a couple days ago at I-10 and 51st ave in Phoenix. I was honestly shocked! Don't know how long it will stay that way, or how high it will go on the upswing that WILL come, but it's nice while it's here.
