I'll be better able to report on that on the 14th of june. However, I do know that at $1.349 here, it was $1.689 there, so figure the same spread.
Makes my prostate itch just thinking about it.
However, the guys up north really get hammered, as I understand it, eagle plains lodge has been over $2 for some time now, and I am not sure where Inuvik sits in regard to fuel pricing, other than REALLY HIGH. They ran short this year, due to a barging problem last fall. They didn't get all that they needed.
Gotta be hurting, trucking fuel like madmen all the way from edmonton until the ice bridges went out.

Last Saturday I filled up (well, actully not enough $$$ to fill all the way up) at cheapest place in town at $5.03/gal.!! Then I saw on Sunday same place was $5.08/gal.
I recently fixed our old Mazda 323 beater car. It is about as ugly and whimpy as a car can be, but it gets 30mpg, and gas is 98 cents a gallon cheaper than diesel here!!
I gotta park the truck unless I need to haul something, or pull our travel traler to a (neaby) campground.
These prices are really hurting!

Gosh I did not know that Bush was a Democrat.
But really who has been in charge for the last 7 years in the white house ,senate and house of reps. The republicans have had a majority untill the last election and sense then they have blocked most legislation.
Oh and drilling in ANWAR is one of the stupidest things we could do.It will take 2 barrels of oil energy to remove 1 barrel and there is only 6 months worth of oil up there.
We need to spend money on solar power and geothermal and wind. If president Carters plan would not have been scrapped by Regan we would have been getting at least 20% of our power from renewables by 2000 and we would not be in this mess.

Price?
$4.38 / gallon at the local Kroger grocery store with the membership discount of 10 cents when you've bought $100 worth of food. Burleson, Texas and with a 100 mile round trip a day it is costing $110-115 each week to fill up.
ahh i see interesting news never new that
It blows me away, end of Febuary fuel was headed down fast, diesel was around 3.30, then it gets there and immediatly starts this rise to 5 bucks. I try and fill up at a half tank, like 75 bucks, hell only 3/4 days wages. chump change right? I feel for all the guys who work contruction, which is dead, and have 3 kids. They are the ones hurting from this around here.

Maybe its just the cruddy state you live. If your polititians didnt give everything away for free your state would be better.
uhhh sorry dude, i have friends in several states (not california) who work construction, and because of increased fuel costs and material costs, housing market collapse, cheap illegal alien labor, and people with way less disposeable income, they say business has never been worse. your comment is like someone who lives in N.Y.C., who claims that property values have never been better, because they are living in one of the few areas not affected by the housing market collapse.
