How much longer will everyone continue daily driving their truck? I swallowed my pride over three months ago and now drive a ricer (Post) that gets 36MPG for all duties not needing a 3/4 or 1 ton truck to do the job, with the exception of the occasional weekend night out to dinner. You can't tell me $110+ fillups don't hurt. I honestly can't tell you what the price of diesel is in my area.

I kinda went the other way had a smaller car(VW passat) and bought a diesel rig. Perfect combo would be 3/4 dodge and VW Jetta TDI

In the D.C. area your looking at around $4 to $3.90 depends where you go. Heck even off road is $3.20 place I go to gives a discount if you buy more than 50 gallons you get it for $3.12. Of course I only use that for the tractors

You would have to run alot of red to make it worth your while for getting caught once. The average tax in the USA is 47.7 I believe, even if the fine was only 1000 dollars you would need to burn 209 gallons or or approx 30K miles of fuel. Also thing about what that tax is used for, road improvements,.

I don't daily drive mine. It's only for fun now. I think the same as you.
