I'd like to see less than $2.00, just filled up today $2.61(31)= over $80.00

Still not good. I remember getting TICKED at those $50.00 fill ups, I'd welcome that with open arms now!

I paid $2.91 for B20 yesterday when I filled up the Jetta at the Pentagon Citgo station - its a good thing that she's getting 45 mpg.

I agree with Phox, I paid 2.79 the other day. 15 minutes north of there is was 2.59? 5 minutes south of the 2.79 it was 2.69? I'd be happy if, (a) it was the same as regular unleaded and (b) if the darn gas stations were consistant! I mean what's the deal? In Nashville, 2.79, Mt. Pleasant, 2.69-2.79 and Columbia 2.59 and a guy tells me this morning over in Shelbyville yesterday he picked it up for 2.39? If it's that cheap in Shelbyville, which is about 30 minutes or better across some country roads how can it be .20 more in Columbia? Am I getting ripped off in Columbia/Nashville/Mt.Pleasant?? Aaaaannnnnddddd, when oil prices go up a buck the price at the pump goes up like the space shuttle? When the oil prices drop, the price at the pump trickles down.....???

I'd pay $3 a gallon...to farmers in the midwest if I could get bio-diesel around here.

Diesel in Haymarket Va (Rt 66 & Rt 15) is going for $2.39 gal.
But it's not BioDiesel.
If ya bring a couple of 5 galllon jugs it makes the trip worthwhile.
I bring six when I travel out there.

BOTH.
I own a trucking company and even with fuel surcharges I still made more money when fuel was cheaper and no fuel surcharge.

IMO when it was at this range I made more money.

Secondly diesel is a by product and should cost less than gas, being ulsd or not.

The trucking and farming industry is who is getting hurt the worst and without either the country would be at a stand still.

They are ripping these industries a new butthole and they know they can because these two cannot stop.

When I first bought my truck fuel was right around $1 a gallon. that is why i want and think that it should be that price. We will see if these prices cont. to drop. I filled up yesterday for $195 that was 79 gallons at 2.46.

I'd like to see at the price it was when I bought my 2000 CTD...$1.28 a gallon. That would be nice considering I was paying 3.53 this summer The price on diesel is hurting EVERYONE...It powers the trucks & trains that move goods from maker to seller. The increased costs get passed on to the consumers...US!

I'd like to have all fuel taxes capped at 15% with the $$$ spent on transportation infrastructure

I'd like #2 to be at least 25 cents/ gallon less than regular unleaded all year round

I'd like the USA to pump enough of our own crude to render OPEC impotent & irrelevant

I'd like the EPA to allow "Big Oil" to profitably build more refineries and ease that bottleneck

I'd like the tree-huggers to support utility companies building more nukes, even if they have to be green

I'd like to bomb 250HP & 500ft-lbs of torque with my dual-mass clutch for the first 100K miles

I'd like to be able to remove the 2500# of work stuff off the truck when I'm not working so I can race

I'd like Angelina Jolie or Lindsay Lohan (maybe both!) to wake me up in the morning

I doubt very much of the above will come to pass, which is just as well - 'cause they probably wouldn't happen until a monkey climbs out of my butt.

What would I LIKE to pay per gallon? I'd like to pay -$5000 per gallon. That's right-I'd like to be paid $5000 per gallon I pump into my tanks.

Now, back to reality-I think $1 a gallon is about right. Like has been said, diesel takes less refining to make. It hasn't been that long ago that I paid $.67 per gallon for gasoline in one of the Carolinas-I forget which. It was in the late 90's when that happened. I'm sorry, but the cost of refining fuel has not gone up that much in the last 7 or 8 years.

Folks being satisfied with $2 a gallon fuel have short memories, or haven't been driving long at all.

Truth be told, I'm probably averaging less than $1 per gallon overall, since I run on mostly waste motor oil anyway. The arabs can go **** up a rope as far as I'm concerned. IF we really get biodiesel and ethanol gasoline blends off the ground here, we can start keeping our dollars in the USA (farmers) while not making the mideast rich. There's no rational reason why fuel should suddenly start costing almost $3 a gallon and STAY there. That's dumb, there's no legitimate reason for that. Therefore, I elect to not pay that much for it by running used motor oil.
