I'd much rather give a farmer my money than a gas co.

I keep hoping for a viable way to make bio at home.

Great article, thanks.

You've got my vote on paying a farmer for fuel. I'd rather see them make some money than the greedy oil companies. It will be interesting to see what happens to the price of oil some day when other fuels are more readily available.

I think we are forever tied to the greedy oil companies. They own most of the infrastructure used to distribute-- all the pipelines, storage tanks, tanker trucks and filling stations.

This researcher needs a bodyguard!!!!

He needs to be looking over his shoulder. I probably sound like a conspiracy nut but I am beginning to believe that any real alternative would seriously restricted or regulated so only a few (ie, oil companies) would be able to produce the alternatives. Kind of like the "bad quality, inferior, dangerous" prescriptions from Canada that are now being siezed in Customs. The same drugs made by the same manufacturers for the same use as being sold here in the US but only cheaper because the Canadian government regulates them differently.
