Just wondering what everyone is getting for fuel mileage. I have a 06- 2500 mega cab-6speed manual- 4wd- no modifications at all- im getting 16.5 to 17 mpg around town. I havent been over the road in approx 25,000 miles at that point i go 19mpg. I was curious if this is the norm or are other people gettting better mileage?

I have an 07 5.9 4x2 6 speed ( THe new higher geared 6 speed) 2500 quad cab. I am getting about 19 around town, 21-22 empty highway, and about 14 pulling my large LQ horse trailer ( 34 footer). So far, despite the bad reviews, Lucas Fuel additive has quieted my engine and I get a little better mileage.

Are you doing hand calculations? Those numbers seem pretty close with everything stock. I have the same truck but a few minor mods (see sig) and I am getting slightly better numbers than you are.

Yes, all hand calculated. I have a Pac Brake, RUn an Amsoil NANo air filter. And a 2 micron GDP big line kit... so all stock really
