I've heard the oil co's reinvest the $891 they make per second, in exploration, and research and stuff like that.
I guess they have our best interests, you know, for the future in mind.

That's all?

But that's only like $28 Billion a year...

Dropped the last couple days here again!!!!

Gas: $2.37/gal
#2: $2.53/gal

Has something to do with the ULSD deffinately. There is a glut of it around here right now. I work for Ergon/Lion Oil and have hauled the stuff since June here. They are making a killing shipping to other states now, so work here is slow with all the extra bieng shipped out to other states that are less fortunate. Allows a lower price here, as they make up the diff. elsewhere.

(from linked article):
Trucking companies and independent drivers are expected to pay a record $102 billion for diesel fuel this year, up from $88 billion in 2005 and twice the amount paid four years ago, according to the American Trucking Association.
And we wonder why EVERYTHING costs more these days?! Those are just staggering increases. (see the TWICE the amount part?)

That's for sure!

Fuel costs have really curtailed our long-distance work schedules.
