biodiesel

Has anyone used much biodiesel?
I have have been told it will damage the lift and injector pump if
the rubber o-rings and seals are not made of viton. Is there any truth
or facts to go with this?
Thanks

I've been watching a bunch of web sites and would say that there are thousands , plus .
The next has some Y/N s , You need to go back to the user control pannel and fill in your info on your truck - most put all the Yr. Mdl. and mods info so that we can answer your ???
If your truck is newer than 93 than you could be safe , I've read that 94 and newer went to none rubber parts .
I've been running bio for about 8 mts / or 10,000 miles , the only problum that I have had is that the fuel filter pluged after 4 days with 10% bio , then I went to 1/3 bio 2/3 dyno for the warm weather , now thats is cooling off I'm switching back to 10% - gelling issues .
The cominrail truck [ newer ] are said to have some problums but I'm not in that world so I do not give it much thought .
The next is witch fuel , lots of terms , I think that the best way to go rite now is the processed [ transesterfication ] takes out the gliserin .
Then some are using a 2 tank system , 1 small for diesel [ starting - then switch to bio to run - then back to diesel to clear out the lines before shut off , maybe 2nd best .
Then some guys are just filtering waste cooking oil and running that , some put in some additives to help , I do not trust this at this time .

I posted this somewhere else in this site, but I'll post it again. I'm thinking about doing this myself.
