B20 ?'s on a 3rd Gen
Been thinking of running bio diesel for its lubricating properties etc but want to know what probs I will run into besides having to clean out my fuel filter early a few times wile it cleans up my motor.
I hear that cummins upped it;s bio % on the 5.9's from 5% to 20% if memory serves me correct
Just wantt to make sure it will run ok with my AIRDOG2 and my new injectors
Also what precautions should i use in the winter besides some power service (white bottle) for gelling.
Thanks for any feedback

I haven't had much experience with it. I only ran 75 gallons of B20 without any problems. I didn't have to replace the fuel filter. But I also replaced my fuel tank a year prior to using bio.

I have been running it for over 2 years. Never had any trouble. If it is going to stay in teens a few nights, I use the power service, as you mentioned. It is same price as other diesel here, so I use it 90% of the time. Just a gallon or 2 in a tank is better than any product you can buy (for lubricity, and keeping your whole fuel system clean.) I have head it is more prone to get water in it, but I have not had any problems or seen it when draining the canister.

I work on a large fleet of trucks and aircraft support equipment..We found that running bio-diesel, we had to watch what additives we used for gelling. We used power service for years.Last year, we had major issues with gelling..We discovered that the power service was not effective with the bio no matter what mix we used..We ended up going with Penray biodiesel formula, which worked rather well for us..The only drawback to it is, it must stay in a warm environment or it will turn to pure gell.We poured some in fresh out of a cab and it plugged up the fill neck.Other than that, it performed excellantly.
