B100 effect on rubber fuel lines?

We've almost got our plant up and working. All we need is a source for WVO.

Anyway, I thought I read somewhere that B100 can dissolve rubber fuel line. I just replaced all the stock lines with 3/8"s rubber from tank to VP. The lines are all high quality diesel rated. I need to confirm if this is true or not. If it is I'll have to bend up some hard line and redo everything I just did

Almost 100% of engines manufactured after 1994 have components compatible with bio. Any diesel rated hose likewise will be compatible.

While I respect infidel's experience with bio, I used diesel rated fuel hose from the auto parts store in a VW diesel that I ran b100 for 35k straight in.. the hoses swelled and eventually were toast.. Most that run b100 often use Viton or some other synthetic hose.

Agreed - 94' and newer should be OK. If you replace ony lines you will want to make sure the lines are Viton as well as Viton for any o-rings or gaskets you plan to replace.

I hope the seals in the VP are viton.

Yes - I've been wondering the same thing for an IP cooling prototype we're developing... does anyone know if the internal seals are butyl, nitrile, viton or what?

NOt sure but as stated before it seems to be the common consensus that rigs made after 94 are OK. I would assume this means our VP44 rigs. Maybe someone ought to put a call in to Bosch and see.
