Diesel here is between $2.72 and $2.77 down 2 cents at several stations and gas went up to $2.89 at all stations due to a shortage of regular gas in partes of IA. and yet MN has no shortage and we get all of our gas from the same refinery that MN gets there from in MN.

Hmm, I think I bought it at flying J's off 45/airtex last week for like 2.65 and I bought it last night I think for 2.72.

I've had the truck for over a week and everytime I've put diesel in it its been cheaper than unleaded.

It goes back up in the winter over 87 gas.

The gap is getting bigger here! Unleaded is $3.19/gal and diesel is $2.75/gal. The good news is that diesel is now 44 cents cheaper!

...the bad news is that its still $2.75... I will count my blessings, though.

The sad part is you can buy the same Premium Gold diesel here in north IA from Mills Fleet Farm for $2.72 and it comes from MN. But then we are not forced to mix in 2% bio either like you do up north and we have lower road taxes then you do Oh I get better mpg from the Gold diesel then I do from diesel bought at Murphy USA as it has better additives mixed in to it.

Here is the URL of the oil refiner in MN if you want to know more about the higher grade diesel being sold: http://www.premiumdiesel.com/product/

As of yesterday, diesel is an average of about 42 cents less then regular unleaded gas.
Gas is for the most part $3.20 and diesel is anywhere from a low of $2.62 all the way to $2.90 (But I seen one place that is trying to get $3.00 per gallon for diesel. With little luck I might add!)

Hmmm Interesting. I have fueled at the local Fleet Farm before, but I never noticed that it was actually the Gold Diesel. Ill have to start fueling there for a while and see if I notice a difference. I usually get fuel from the local Kwik Trip(truck stop), havnt had a problem with the fuel there yet...

What caused the flip-flop all of the sudden? Did the oil tycoons realize they would make more money if diesel was cheaper than gas?

I first noticed it back in January when Murphy diesel was a few cents higher then MFF. After I got my first 19 gallons in my truck I noticed how much better the engine sounded and then the better mileage of the then Arctic fuel in my tank. I just did a look up and see that some of the Kwik Truck stops in MN sell the Gold diesel so if the one you buy at sell it and its cheaper then MFF keep buying it where you do now. Here is the URL showing the list of who sells Gold or Arctic diesle in MN. http://www.premiumdiesel.com/availab...list.aspx?s=MN
