bio diesel heater
temps are dropping...looking for a remote mounted heating element that i can mount on the plastic tank. runs on 12VDC.
i'm poking around on the net but not with any success.
any input?

What filter are you running? the stock one?
I run a remote racor 490R and it has an optional heating element and WIF sender / indicator kit for it.
You may want to look at DIY glow plug in brass 'T' setups too.

keeping the tank warm is a good idea, but what about the rest of the fuel system? from the tank to the injectors..if any part is cold enough to gel the fuel you have the same problem..
blend the fuel when its cold and blend it for about 10-15 degree colder then you'll think it'll get..how to know..keep mix jars of biodiesel/diesel in different ratios outside in jars..if the 25% blend is frozen in the am and you have a 30%..go back to bed..if you have a 10% blend you'll be fine
