$4 ++ gallon- we should plan now!

I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news, but with the way oil $$ are increasing daily, I would be VERY surprised if diesel does not see $4 by early fall. Funny how fossil fuels go up when the summer driving/recreation season kicks in [whistle] . And god forbid as soon as the media breathes the H word in mid August (hurricane). The news will get out "hurrica..." and BAM, last Sept. prices will look like a bargain. So what, If anything, will you out there do to offset the hosing we are getting from the govern.. ahem, I mean oil companies? In my 04, I think I can get a pretty decent supply of free WMO from mechanic and DIY friends. (hopefully no synthetics [yuk] ). This, hopefully can offset the costs a little bit @ 2-3 gallons per tankfull. The issue of the extra taxes on fuel that delivery companies, and self employed tradespeople are paying, while drug dealers and those on welfare drive around in their "phat Escalades w/ 20" rims" upsets me more than I can describe here [verymad] [verymad]

$4 per gallon?? I refuse to participate. [yuk] [eyecrazy]
If it hits $3.50 a gallon again... I am going to go into full scale production on these diesel processors and retire from my reg job.
Heck... I might do that anyway.
I decided in High School that I was going to retire at 35 anyway... Why not >> cost of doing business now makes me want to stay home!

i put in about $40 for a half a tank on monday to fill al the way up. I also dumped in a little over a gallon of Waste engine oil, i'm glad i have 55 gallons of used oil from all my family's vehicles saved up, i can dump in a gallon or two each fill up to easy a little bit of the pain. I'm also thinkin finding out if any station near me has biodiesel. If that diesel price makes it to $4+ per gallon i'm stealing my younger sisters bike and riding it every where, at that point i wouldn't care if its a pink girls bike.

At $4 a gallon I'll drive 50mph. [whistle]

And ride the Harley more after I install a smaller main jet. [coffee]

And find a venture capitalist to fund building a large scale biodiesel and ethanol processing plant in this area. ;)

They're building two bioethenol plants in Herford and Littlefield pretty soon. They are gonna use cotton hulls to make it. Pretty cool. They need to start manufacturing biodiesel and bioethenol as an alternative and make it like $2.00 a gallon. That will get us away from foreign oil real fast.

...looks like Diesel Manor closed its webpage?

I read off and on about people mixing waste oil with a tank of fuel. What are the pros and cons to doing this. Anything special you need to do to the oil before mixing?
