just seems strange for california to be cheaper than a number of other states. usually we get hosed here in the golden state.

Get this, last Saturday I had to go take my daughter to her dad's. The stations I usually stop at was $3.19 on my way out of town. When I went back by on my way home it had dropped to $2.99 in about 4 hours.

Symptoms of something weird going on:
California #2 prices cheaper than South Texas #2 prices? Even including Kalifornia's notorious high fuel taxes...
Central Texas Unleaded below $2/gallon in spots, while #2 is still $2.98/gal or higher most everywhere...
I'm getting tired of fending off the barbs from co-workers about diesel trucks not making good economic sense these days...

getting cheated
well, we all know that we are being cheated but the question is what can we do about it. call our elected officials? hell, that won't work.
heard on the news this morning that the govt. is taking the power companies in socal to court for manipulating electric prices in the '90s here in california. wish the govt would grab the oil companys by the short hairs and yank!!
