Anyone run the LF16035 vs the LF3972?

 

I run the LF16035.Its the stratapore element which is supposed to filter better

 

Thats the one that i run, but i can get Donaldson filters and when i cross the 16035 to Donaldson the Donaldson is more money! Wonder how much better it filters then the 3972? The 3972 is much cheaper crossed to the Donaldson!

16035 is best and backward compatible with all models

Fleetguard has a patent on the Stratapore media. It is an excellent media. I also have some other differences in the LF3972 and the LF16035. The LF3972 is 30 microns@95%efficient, it flows 8.72 GPM and the working pressure is 125PSI. The LF16035 is 30 microns at 100% and it also filters 10 microns@60%. The flow rate and working pressure is the same as the LF3972.

Right on Rt30 on the RH side before Lowes. Its in the old Western Auto building. Cumberland Truck Equipment is the name of the company. List price on the LF16035 is 12.60. I will have to call Sam there and see if I can pass on the company discount to you and that would be about 50% off that.

The Donaldson is more expensive because it's a better filter-- assuming you are talking about the black canister ELF line.

The Stratapore is a fantastic filter-- the only way to improve on it with a full-flow filter, imo, is the Donaldson unit.

Donaldson's nanofiber media is the current state of the art.

What are the ratings, if you happen to have that info handy, on the ELF?

I'm curious, I went from the stratapore to the Amsoil full flow (to go with the bypass too) and the Amsoil is 98.7% absolute at 15 microns. The bypass is 98.7% absolute at 2 microns.

 

You know somethin i know right where that place is and always thought about stoping in and seein if they carry them but i never did! Man if u do that i'll owe ya one for sure!

I might get one of the Donaldson ELF3749, but id like to know the flow rate as well.
