Injectors spraying out of the top out of no where.

I was driving home from work yesterday and started smelling diesel while on the highway. When I made it to a light the truck started shaking violently like there was a cylinder or two not firing. When I got home and opened the hood the injectors were squirting diesel out of the top. Anyone know how to fix this cheaply and efficiently?

Replace those injectors.

My injector failures have typically been during long summer highway drives. Either leaking out the top, or constant grey smoke.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

You did not provide your truck details.
On the early (2003 and up) Cummins it was quite common to have one or more injector lines split, mostly #4 & 6. The fix was to add an extra support bracket to stop vibration.
Warning: DO NOT put your hand near the leak if the engine is running. The high pressure diesel leak can easily penetrate the skin leading to blood poisoning

You can take the leaking injectors out and carefully disassemble/clean/reassemble.... whereupon they may still leak. Or you can just replace the leaking ones with new. They are not *that* expensive
