Today I replaced the original drag link and tie rod ends. Alignment is scheduled for Wednesday. Then the 2008 factory aluminum 17 inch rims go on. Can't wait to ride on my new skins

I got an extra set of valve covers to polish. I don't know why I did it though. it's not like I don't have enough to.

I worked on a drawing of my front spring hangers. I am working up some ideas. for something that is stiffer from side to side but will allow flexing lengthwise.
Ignore the date stamp I for got to set it

Nice! I like it!

Keep in mind: the springs in the front of our trucks are not parallel.
I can't tell from your screen-shot if you have designed that into your mount?

I finally got the last of the M/T wheels delivered today. I discovered they were no longer made so I set out on a quest to find 4 of them, thanks to the “www” and amazon I was able to get them from four different places.

A weekend of overtime awaits so I can buy rubber next week….

They aren't anything special really just stock black valve covers. The plan is to get the best six of the two sets I have and polish them.
These aren't mine but thin is the way they should come out. minus theintake as mine is non intercooled. If I had a crossover I might be inclined to polish that too.

anyway I like your wheels they will look real nice. These trucks look better with older style wheels.

Wow thank you, I really struggled with the choice.

I have the stock hangers off the doner truck For the final dimensions. I think the hangers are the same but I will measure them on a flat surface to be sure (when I get that far)

You are right there isn't any taper in my drawing. It is raining pretty hard and I was just doodling. The part that I wanted to see was the front hole placement. the rest is sort of a place holder

Thanks for mentioning that about the springs not being parallel though. that could cause a guy some headaches.

I am plotting for a bird bath hood swap. The rain is keeping me inside more than outside

Changed the oil. Didn't get to do all that I wanted to. I forgot my metric tools.
