2014 ram 2500. 12v 5.9 or 6.4 hemi swap
 

Well first of all, I know this will be expensive any way I cut it but I have a decent budget upwards of 12k. So I found my ideal truck for a great price. Problem is its a 5.7 which is a dog in this truck. So I went ahead and bought it thinking Oh well, I can just swap the engine later. Then I realized it will probably be a pain to do so. I'm interested in swapping a 6.4 hemi or a 5.9 with the mechanical pump. Problem i see right away is all the sensors and electronic crap on these trucks. Chassis is solid but I need a better engine. I understand I should have paid up and just bought a 6.4 but like I said it's used and it was a great price. So if anyone has any ideas or advice I'd love to hear them. I appreciate your time.

Would an 8.0 v10 be too crazy? I love those engines.

Not sure about that, the newer trucks are a minefield with the electronics.
