1980 ramcharger 12v swap
1980 ramcharger 12v swap
i just picked up my 80 ramcharger recently and cant wait to start the swap from my 91.5 w250. so far the current plan is to put the ramcharger body on the shortened 91.5 frame. figured might as well run the beefier frame and save some fab swapping the engine in. got a built 727 lined up to go in too. the final project should be sitting on 38.5s.
any tips and advise from those who have done this is greatly appreciated. thanks

I would keep the RC frame as well, its not much work at all to make the engine fit the rc frame.
The fenders will fit with minor modifications or if you switch the rad support they will fit easy. The doors will fit too, may have to drill for wiring. Probably would want to switch both though or not at all. The newer doors and fenders have different lines then the 72-80 units

ya now that i look at the frames its not worth it. i thought the w250 had a 10 inch frame. i think im gonna tear into it this weekend. yank the 318, trans and tcase out.
