I was gonna go with 6x9s but I got a good deal on the 6's. They are pioneer 3 way, rated for some ungodly wattage. It pained me to cut those doors, but I need to have tunes!

I haven't been doing much on the FireWagon since I took it to Carlisle. It wasn't the nicest ride in its class, but it was the only old school 4 door, step side short bed, Cummins, 5 speed, four wheel drive truck there. I've got about 1300 miles on it since hitting the road in May, the only issues I've had were a leaking rear pinion seal. I need to re-route the exhaust to get some noise away from the cab and do some more interior work. Until then its a blast to drive, gets lots of compliments and runs pretty cheap at 19 mpg consistently. I'll post up more pics as it progresses.

Finally got the back seat in. I used a front bench seat frame and did some mods to attach the 2007 cushions. Installed everything and added a set of 6x9 Memphis speakers to the rear compartment. I'll take it all apart and sandblast and paint the frame when I work all the squeaks out.

The truck is looking good, and you’re driving it instead of staring at a pile of parts! Any new updates? Or are you too busy driving the beast? Around here, everyone has classic Chevys and Fords, but when they see a power wagon crew cab with a Cummins, they all stop and stare.

That truck is soooooo freaking awesome. I would have stole it from you, when I saw it at Carlisle, but I was driving the brick, and the wife had the old, blind dog in tow, and she refused to be a part of a truck kidnapping..

If I have time and money this winter I plan to delete the OE heater box and install a Vintage AC kit, and spend about another million dollars on more Dynamat.

I’ll second that. Any updates? I’ve installed the Old Air Products Hurricane on my 73. Still need to get around to hooking up the AC side, but I have heat and a blower for now at least. Waiting to change my thermostat to a 190* before I give an honest review of the system. My temp never goes over 170* so, my heat output isn’t as high as I’d like to see. I can drive in a T-shirt when it’s 35* out, but it’s not getting HOT enough for me to recommend. It doesn’t take up much room though, and I’ve made a ton of room in the engine compartment, so a big benefit will be space for compound turbos in the future. I hope yours is coming along.
