It's a head turner. You see this truck and think that's cool. Then it fires up, and you think awesome!!

I'll tell you why it is getting so much attention...See above.
Another reason is cool old trucks barely exist in the rust belt.

That's exactly right. That truck would get a lot of attention in my neck of the woods. I know my RC does. I can't take it anywhere without someone asking questions. One guy even took pics of it at the gas station a couple weeks ago.
I'm not looking for attention. I just like to drive it.

Ollie, I wish. I've been busy pounding in the brass tacks tho! Dynamat is done in the front, front seats are in, vinyl floor is in, seat belts are giving me aggravation currently. I picked up a bunch of sideline shop work to pay for some expenses, so that has me slowed down a little. I plan to put it in the field at Carlisle.

SWEET I just reserved my show spot in Carlisle for my RC today - $49.50 well spent!
I am busy in the shop tonight wrapping up the dashes loose ends [wires] as I now have to get it ready for the 1000+ mile loop. I look forward to meeting you and checking out that cool crew cab with a tasty IPA in hand.

Sounds good, I got the floor cut in and front door seals in tonight. I still need to wrap up the dash. I think Ill put the rear seat off until I get more free time to mess with it.

I have a customers 2001 24V with stacks and stickers and a spun rod bearing to get in the shop, so stuff like stereo and window seals may have to wait a while.

I did manage to finish off a case of GreenFlash Palate Wrecker tonight, I don't like to keep that stuff around, it can go bad quickly.

Where did you order the vinyl floor mat from?

The floor covering is from Auto Custom Carpets Inc., I ordered it through JC Whitney. They didn't offer one for the 1974 CrewCab, so I got the one for the 1975 model. (Different floor pan?)

For the price I am very pleased. It takes a while to work it in the right position because it is made oversized, but a little patience, sharp knife, and a few beers and it came out pretty nice.

Not much progress lately. I ordered front output yoke and the match for the Dana 60 to upgrade to 1350 u-joints, and need to build a front driveshaft. Got some more door seals today to put in the rear doors. Still need to mock up the rear seat, and stereo, and more Dynamat. How long till Carlisle?

My daughter and I will be leaving in two weeks and 5 days, but who is counting....
I have some stuff on my punch list to wrap up on our RC as well. The count down is on.
I look forward to meeting you and checking out your crew cab.

I am looking forward to seeing you and your cream puff of a RamCharger. I just picked up another RC yesterday and '74 Duster. Not sure what I will do with them, but winters are long here in PA.

And I got around to installing some speakers in the doors. Got to use this handy tool I acquired from the Snap-on truck when I soldered the wires.
