Arrow 04 f350 6.0 to 24 valve swap

Time to start my new project. I just picked up a 04 f350 with a 6.0 power stroke. I going to swap a 99 24 valve in it's place. I'm planning on using destroked engine swap motor mount kit. I'm not sure if i'm going to use the ford 5 speed torque shift tranny or not. We'll see how it goes.

Why the 24 valve instead of the CR engine?

CR Engine

Then you could avoid the VP44 issues...

Sounds like a great project. Am looking forward to reading about your progress.

After seeing how common and expensive CR injector failures are, I wouldn't ignore the VP44 24 valve as a suitable donor, both seem to have their strengths and weaknesses.

I already have a complete doner engine I removed from a 99 3500 4x4. I removed everything from aftercooler to obd 2 connector.

you wont need much from the donor truck. you will need the throttle cable. use a cr exhaust manifold and the turbo will fit better. the torque shift tranny is a good auto behind the cummins once you get it working right with the controller. Fordcummins.com has it pretty much figured out. I ran the ford alt and starter.
