Hey fellas, just wanted to let y'all know that I've been hearing some rumors about the pulling track at Newland, and have gotten to the bottom of them(I think). I just wanted to let y'all know that the rumors are false.

I at first heard that they are not going to be having any more pulls there, and have sold the place.

This is kinda true, because they have sold the sled and the land, but they sold it to the drag strip over in Hertford, and they are still going to be having truck pulls at Newland.

The first one is, from what I understand on a bulletin off of myspace(yeah....great place to get truck pull info, lol) is there is supposed to be one on the 24th, which would be this weekend. I also understand they have one scheduled for next month, and once I figure it out, I'll let y'all know. Newland's website isnt working anymore, so I guess I'll have to wait until I can find them all out from some of my friends, and also Chet might be able to find out too.

 

has anyone heared when the first pull will be?

 

well it wasnt this weekend...although there was one close to it in chapanoke tonight.didnt go though. If they have one it would prob. be the 3rd weekend in april. idk though

 

Thats what I'm figuring too Chet, either that or the weekend after. Still havent heard anything back from anybody back home about a definite date.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong Chet, but Ed told me the pull was on the 28th. I wont be there, going to the Hank Jr/Lynyrd Skynyrd concert

As far as pullin goes... Im not planning on it. - However... I will have my girlfriend, my best friends, some beer, maybe some tequila........ add those up and its a reciepe for a new tranny!!!

who went lastnite? It was a big crowd. did'nt get on the hook till almost 11 pm. first pull , man, I got to get a tranny bad. there's also a nother place up the road . runs every sat. getting more info soon
