u joint issues.
are you pullers running into problems with rear u joints? are you running stock or aftermarket? prefered brands? Thanks in advance!
|
The joint at the rear diff is the one I have had problems with. I went to NAPA and replaced them with greaseable joints no more problems. I did replace them at 400,000 mile mark just because of the miles on them.

wow! i have 32,000 and mine is starting to click a little. do you recall what brand it was?

If you are looking for the strongest, readily available u-joint; buy Spicer non-greasable.
Other brands may work, but I can promise you that they wont last as long as a genuine spicer. |
If I was pulling,I would take the shaft to a good driveline shop and increase the joint and yoke size.
|
i don't pull it, i just figured if anyone had the solution it would be in this forum. thanks to all.
|
i called a local spicer dealer, and they told me they don't offer those for our trucks.
