pulling truck question

need some opinions. I am building a 2001 p-pumped pullers for a local guy. and he is very persistant on wanting to runa alternator on this truck. the problem is the truck has electric fans, water pump and a gear driven p.s pump. the truck has no gauge cluster or no factory wiring. the truck has a tach, oil pressure gauge, fuel pressure gauge, coolant temp, and boost pressure gauge. fass 200 gph pump and the starter is going to be the only draw from the battery. my question is how long will 2 batteries last with no alternator? the truck will be started, pulled off the trailer, pulled and then reloaded after a few minutes of idleing before and after the pull. They will last a good while. I drove my truck 300km, ran my Espar for 6 hours in -25 to -30C conditions, and they would still crank the truck over quite easily. As long as its not a total bear to start, I would think you could go for quite a few events on them. Toss the battery charger on them at the end of the night and all should be well.

You could just run an alternator with an external regulator if thats what he wants though.

he wants to run teh slternator but teh problem I am running into is the water pump is electric, the fans are electris. so I would need to find a belt to go around the alt, crank and tensioner. I think it would be easier to just take the alt off.
