Newbie Puller question

Finally found another pull close by with street class and want to give it another try but need help on some incidentals. Some guys say 4 Lo others say 4 Hi I'm not sure which and why.

I'm planning on launching at 10 - 15 psi boost. I'm running a turned up p7100 pump with laser DV, 370's, 3K GSK, HTB2 Turbo 62/12 (too small) and a Goerend tranny. Gears are 4.10, Dana LSD 70 rear, with 265's for tires (I'll let the fronts down pretty well on psi). I don't have traction bars (yet) and no weights.

Help me to understand which gear range to use and how to know which to pick. I'm not scared to break things either.

Any and all thoughts will be considered. Is there a way to tell how other trucks are doing to know which gear range to run in, etc.?

Yep, Paul do you have a lockup switch, they are very handy while puling.

Lo it is. Willy, I don't have a lock up rigged up but can. Seems like you would be kind of busy at the end trying to watch flagmen, turn off the lock up and try to keep from bouncing too bad. That's where practice comes in I guess (that and a few rear axles/differentials/drive shafts, etc) [laugh]

Thanks - Paul
