NE Ohio Sled Pull

Friday night (tonight) at Yankee lake there will be a sled pull. Itll be my first time at it, and Im looking for a little advice from those more experienced. I dont know how well I'll do cause my tires are pretty ate up, but I'll give it a shot.

Should I just go WOT and hope for the best, or is there (as I suspect) a lot more technique to it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I'll be showing up with a couple Fords and would really enjoy smokin' em like a pack of Camels.

Thanks for the help.

Do a search on "sledpulling" in the forum and you'll find many detailed threads that describe the tactics of the game....

I would, but the search function doesn't work. After I enter the terms it always takes me back to the advanced search page.

Didnt make it. I was trying to hunt down a set of tires so I could get over there, but it never happened. Apparently the "heavy duty" rims I bought arent so heavy duty. They wont support my tongue weight so Im back to my stockers. At least I still have them though. Very aggravating. Seriously considering switching to dually, 19.5's or something.
