Thanks for posting this Mike!
As Mike already said, Jimmy and Dale came right back after that run on Friday and on Saturday ran a blistering 9.81@138MPH!! Then on Sunday, Jimmy backed that run up with another nine second run going 9.92@138MPH! Last year their best run at Bandimere was 10.3 seconds. And it was very hot both days of this event with the "density altitude" above 10,000 feet when you factored in the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure in that thin air of Denver.
Having been with these two fine guys the last two years I want to extend my SINCERE CONGRATULATIONS to Jimmy and Dale Smith for those great runs! To run in the 9's with ANY vehicle in the brutal air conditions of Denver, Colorado is truly an accomplishment. As Mike D. also pointed out, kudos to Clint Cannon and Sean Porter @ "ATS Diesel" for building that ATS Torque Converter to run and perform like it did.
We should have some video up of the nine second runs in a couple of days.
