southbend all the way. This is one of the prototype sprung hub dual disks before they were released to the public. Peter asked me to thrash on it, I told him I would be happy to. LOL It has held on for a almost a year so far. The truck has been over 700 HP almost all that time.

I ran an fe and it held up to about 650 HP. When it was all said and done, I gave it to a customer that could not afford to go with a bigger clutch. He had gotten a bunch of work done and the clutch was not in the budget. It has more than served its purpose. LOL

If you are going to sledpull at all go with a double disk the singles will slip and they will become junk in short order.
If you are just going to tow and drag race the Con OFE from SBC should suit you well.

i will never hook to a sled, just wondering why you also went from the dd to the ofe. why not the fe, im wondering if the diff. in disk material is hard on the flywheel or something. every one says ofe, im just looking at the numbers thats it 550 vers 450 and 1100 vers 900. for very little money diff. i like the look of the extra holding cap. but i do wonder why Most everyone else says ofe. isnt more ussualy better , thats how we see the power right guys!

Nothing is wrong with the FE. It will hold more power but it is 'grabbier'.

I run the SB 3850 DD. When I buy something like this I always say I would rather buy to much than not enough. I have over 30 hooks this year on this clutch and driving around and even pulling a trailer it does just fine.
