Forgotten Tip

I think we're leaving out a pretty good tip, it was the first one I got from a friend. If for whatever reason you decide to stop pulling, don't go near the brake. Just let it coast to a stop. From what I hear, getting rearended by a sled is no fun. I've seen a sled hit a 6800 lb truck about half track when he grabbed the brake and it wasn't too pretty. Not that any of us amateurs will be pulling that fast but it still wouldn't be any good.

I saw that happen to Big Daddy Don Garlits at a pull. He was in a 2WD Modified, nailed it at the start which jerked him around some then when he decided to stop, the sled came up and knocked him into next week....that was a tough old truck;)
