First Pull of the Year Florida Video

Heres some video of our First Pull for 2009 from Yesterday. I am the 2nd Red dodge that gets **** Raped by the Sled... Quad Adrenaline defuled so fast @ 4k the truck Shut Down! Luckily there was no carnage.

I just finished putting the tranny back in the truck one hour before weigh in and my test drive was driving to the track 45min away. i was in such a hurry that I didnt have time to grab my weight bar and weights. I was 700lbs light!

oh and for you northern folks enjoying a White winter... it was a chilly 65*.

It worked for me.

Glad to hear that it didn't do any damage.

The only pullin' you can do around here right now is tuggin' people's cars out of ditches and snow banks.

Was that you who hooked again? Looked like a good pull, what did you do differently from your first pull?

The sled hit looked way more violent in person. It was really loud, good thing the hitch held up.

Yes I was able to rehook. I have to feather it off the line to keep it below 4k then once I start to gain traction I could lay into it and it wouldnt go over 3800. The "starting hole" was a little loose.

Did you check the datalogger? I've noticed that the factory tach can't keep up with the fast revs. I've hit 4150 already & factory tach only showed 3800.

Yes I did and youre right, the truck tach was around 3800 when it shut down but the datalogger showed differently.

I still haven't tried the new comp2, I'm still running the old comp tune which only had 70% fueling enabled. I've been waiting on Quad to fix the shutdown issues before I try the new stuff. I've tried the new sled & I got shutdown at 3200rpm. The tune I'm running fuels far past 4k rpm, but won't allow me to launch due to the way he has the fueling setup. I can't wait for a fix.

I'm just trying different things right now. I stacked the Smarty for the 2nd Run and it felt about the same. I dont have valve springs yet so I would like to Run around 3600-3800 down the track right now and it seems to be getting there. 4k would be awesome with the supporting mods.

Yep, lots of support from GDP. Ft Myers was on December... dont remember the date. We'll be @ Desoto Speedway Feb 7th. It will be televised on the Outdoor network.
