Dodge pulls semi out!

I had my new steel garage dropped off and it came by the old eighteen wheeler (they delivery up to 10 buildings). Anyhow we get it unloaded onto my trailer as he cant make the turn at the end of my road and I run to my house and unload the trailer. He tries to turn around at the little party store around the corner and gets stuck atop the snow/ice bank. He's not real stuck but he isnt going anywhere soon eighter. So he has me hook up to a chain he has. In the mean time a mob of punks accumilates by the store spewing nonsense. My sister who helped my unload it said they all commented that no way could that truck pull the semi out (she tells me this afterwards).Anyhow I shut'r down and put the lass into low lock, he hooks the chain up jumps in the cab of his semi and I start bring'in home the boost. Actually I was on pavement although wet I got good traction, and started pulling the semi sideays as he was spinng LOL.. Anyhow it shut up the non-believers yappers. I enjoyed it.

Thought I had rig in their just to much excitment I guess. 96 Reg cab, number 10 plate wheel all the way forward. 4.00 exhaust.Other than that stock.

I almost pulled out a fully loaded dumptruck filled with gravel (5 7 stone) The only thing that kept me from getting him out of the ditch was the chain snapped. I'm glad I put weight on it in the middle so it just dropped when it broke. I had it all the way out then it snapped and he wasn't on the fuel so it dropped back into the mudhole in the ditch. He was impressed ;) This was with my 03

This one time at band camp my "semi" got stuck in....Oh wrong story. [laugh]

Actually, I have pulled out several bigger trucks over the last 8 years of Cummins ownership but, as with most things, my first was the most memorable.

It was snowing out and already had lots of snow on the ground. I was tooling down the road and notice ahead of me a jack-knifed Red Dog beer truck on a road corner. So I pulled over and asked the driver if he wanted me to pull him out and he laughed. He said his truck was almost full and I wouldn't be able to move him. Fortunately his district manager was riding along with him and said lets try it. I was driving a 94 CTD 4x4 auto (100 gal fuel tank was full also) back then, and I hooked her up to the back of the trailer, put it 4-low. I was still on the pavement but it was snowy, I got the tires spinnin and warmed them up to melt the snow and grab. The semi truck started moving backward and straighted up and onto to the road. The driver jumped out just smiling and shaking his head, I walked over to take off my tow strap and the manager went to the side of the truck and lifted up 2 doors and said take 2 cases of your choice. MMMMM...Beer.

I do work puorin foundations so were always gettin our tandem axles flat beds stuck in the mud. And about 3 times a week we have a concrete truck get burried. Back in October we had a front loader crete truck stuck in the mud pretty good, they wanted me to get a form truck and pull him outs since he was only 10 feet from the pavment. We had time to kill and i said let me try wit my truck, they all laughed and said dont waste your time. Well i hooked up the the crete truck witch had an 87k gvw stanped on it from dot. I gave it a shot in 2 high did some nice burnin out, they all laughed. I slaped it in 4 lo, they all stood there scratchin there heads like monkeys tryin to figure out how it happened. I yanked her right out in four lo.

im sure most of us have camera phones now so don't forget about those!

dieselrob Feb 9, 2006 09:53 PM

Between any of my toys and there good stories i always say man i wish i had a camera. The next day i say im gonna get one and keep it in the truck cause i always have something good to take a pic of and i never get a camera. M only problem is if its not as big as a suit case i lose it or if its electrical i break it, thats what keeps stopin me i think haha. My freind kept sayin she wanted this car so bad she was gonna buy it as soon as she got in the unoin 19 more days. Im com in home from work the other day the dealer it was at the owner let his duaghter drive wat ever was on the lot. Well im comin home from work theres an acident blockin the 4 lane i was first there, it was the jetta she wanted and a mustang. The jetta was on the roof both were blockin the road. I new the cop that came from prior meetings between us. [whistle] He called for the tow truck, none available for atleast 30 min. So he says to me i need get these cars outa here they are blockin a stae highway. I said i got a chain in my truck i can move them. Hes like how ya gonna do that. I said ill drag them off to the shoulder they were both totaled. No serious injuries but 2 went off in ambulences. He said go ahead i need the raod open, rush hour traffic backed up. So i drive down in the median and around them back up wrap the chain threw the stangs rim drag it off the road. Then back up and wrap the chain threw the apillar of the jetta my freind wants and drag the off on its roof. Im sittin there and call my freind up and tell her guess what, (shes like huh) your car your in love with well its totaled on its roof and chained to the back of my truck right now. Shes like f you your liein and crap. I said no im dead serious, shes like watever i dont believe you i saw it yesterday. The state cop had a polaroid and was takin pics, so i got a polaroid off him and took it back to her, she almost cried. I said doesnt my truck look nice pullin that lil wrinkled up import on its roof as i was posing in the pick leaning agaist the jetta. [laugh] One of these days i will get a digital camera and keep it in my truck. I need one bad any donations would be nice ill supply you guys with good humor with it.

Gotta scanner? i wanna see the jetta..... [whistle]

dieselrob Feb 9, 2006 10:28 PM

No i dont, hell my printer dont even work haha. If i had one that pic would be in my profile. The only reason i got the pics of my truck stuck are because my freind took them and put them on his puter to make fun of it on some ford sites. If i didnt put all my money into my truck id have the neat little electronic gadets. Ill try and get it to a freinds and scan it but ill be outa town for the weekend starting at 6 tomorro. Man works a bummer atleast the gf comin along. [whistle]
