Diesel Mania, Stanford Ky, May 4th&5th
Hey guys, just wanted to go ahead and tell yall about Diesel Mania. Its the 2nd year for this event. Last year was great. There will be 2 nights of pulling and David Dunbar will be there with his dyno on Saturday, May 5th. Stanford has a GREAT track. There was a great turn out last year. Come on over to Ky and hook em up! Here are the classes and rules.....
2007 STANFORD KENTUCKY RULES
Attention Pullers:
Upon you registering & paying your hook fee, you are in agreement that you have read and understood the rules for the class that you entering and the general rules, and that it is your understanding that your truck/tractor meets these rules.
If your truck\tractor fails to pass these rules, there will be no refunds given. So if you have any questions about the rules make sure, you ask a tech official before registering.
8500 LB STREET DIESEL TRUCK
1. Must be licensed, registered, and insured (Bring CURRENT registration and insurance with you to register)
2. Single Turbo charger only. Must bolt directly to manifold , NO adapter plates. The compressor housing may be no larger than a 2.5 inch ROUND inlet measured at the smallest diameter area of the compressor wheel. Downsizing of the compressor housing ahead of the wheel is NOT allowed but must meet the 2.5 inch diameter for at least 3/4 inch in front of the wheel along the bore. The inlet will be measured using a 2.55 inch plug. A stock MWE groove is allowed. No MWE groove will be allowed that has greater than a 1/4 inch width. All provisions allowing air to the wheel other than the bore and the MWE groove are prohibited. . 2007 FORD POWERSTROKE 6.4 ENGINES WITH FACTORY TWIN TURBOS WILL BE PERMITTED IN THIS CLASS
3. All Computer chips and boxes are permitted
4. Stock appearing injection pump LIMITED TO ONE .
5. No Nitrous, Propane or Water Injection- All Bottles Must Be Removed
(a) Pullers will declare upon being teched if their truck has any equipment capable of delivering NITROUS OXIDE and\or PROPANE.
( Upon the pullers declariation of having this equipment the PULLER will make the bottle end of the line to the delivery selinoid available to the techs for a visible inspection, to insure that it is not capable at the time of pulling to deliver NITROUS OXIDE or PROPANE
© Upon inspection of the truck and the above mentioned equipment is found , and the PULLER failed to declare his TRUCK possesed this equipment, the PULLER and TRUCK will be immediately disqualified , not allowed to pull and will forfiet all entry fees paid.
6. There will be under hood inspections
7. Original style front and rear suspension. Lowering or raising vehicle height with suspension modifications is permitted. No Strapping or Chaining of Front or Rear Suspension. CENTER LINK may be srapped .
Rear Suspension may be blocked. NO SOLID WELDED REARENDS
8. Air Bags permitted, must have only 1 airline running to them and line must be capped off, no air tanks, compressors or in cab controls.
9. Tractions Bars must have a safety loop or strap securely attached to frame & bars near where bars attach to frame of truck.
10. Front Hanging Weights are allowed, NOT to exceed 60 inches forward of the center of the front axle. THIS WILL BE MEASURED FROM CENTER OF FRONT WHEELS TO FURTHEREST MOST POINT OF THE WEIGHTS OR WEIGHT RACK . NO Weights in cab of truck.
11. Factory or commercially distributed aftermarket hitch. Must be horizontal to the ground and stationary in all directions. Height from ground must not exceed 26 “. Minimum 3 1/2-inch diameter for sled hook. (NO UNDER BED PULLING HITCHES)
12. Hook point must be past rear of truck bed.
13. NO hitches with chains holding it to a gooseneck ball or other device in truck bed.
14. Truck must have both front and rear bumper.
15. Driver must provide clevis, minimum 3 ½ “diameter.
16. No weight transfer hitches.
17. No chains, studs, spikes, etc.
18. D.O.T. Street legal tires.
19. Engine must have come stock from the factory in a 1-ton pickup truck or less application. Engine does have be an option by the same manufacturer as truck.
20. Drivetrain must be O.E.M. from 1 ton or less pickup. (I.E. NO DROP BOXES OR REVERSERS)
21. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT ALL TRUCKS HAVE SAFETY EQUIPMENT (FUEL SHUT OFFS, KILL SWITCHES, SCATTER BLANKETS, DRIVE LINE LOOPS, FIRE EXTIGUSHER, ETC.)

20. Must have a minimum of 2 drive line loops. ( 2 on rear drive shaft) Must be 360 degrees of enclosure, made of steel minimum ¼” thickness x 2 “ wide,or aluminum minimum 3/8”thickness x 2” wide. Must be securely mounted within 6” of front universal joint & rear universal joint.
22. Rear axle bolts must be covered either by center cap or shield.
23. Drivers must wear seat belts & helmets are recommended.
24. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT ALL TRUCKS HAVE SAFETY EQUIPMENT (FUEL SHUT OFFS, KILL SWITCHES, SCATTER BLANKETS, FIRE EXTIGUSHER, ETC.)

1. Trucks may be hauled to pull.
2. Truck doesn’t have to be licensed.
3. Staged Turbos are permitted.
4. Nitrous and/or Propane are permitted.
5. Water\Methanol Injection permitted.
6. All Computer Chips and Boxes are permitted.
7. No Studded Tires or Tire Chains.
8. Hanging Weights / Weight Racks are permitted, NO weights in cab of truck.
9. Driver must provide Clevis minimum 3 ½ “.
10. The point of hook must be at least 48 inches from the centerline of the rear axle. Height from ground must not exceed 26 ”. Minimum 3 1/2-inch diameter for sled hook.
11. Must have a minimum of 2 drive line loops.( 2 on rear drive shaft) Must be 360 degrees of enclosure, made of steel minimum ¼” thickness x 2 “ wide. Must be securely mounted within 6” of front universal joint & rear universal joint.

Haha. Now there's an idea. I kinda doubt it though. Probably just pull in the 2.8 class just to try out my new turbo. It'll be my first hook with it so it will probably be a little quirky

Street Diesel (2.5 inducer), Super Street (2.8 inducer), and Open (Unlimited) are pulling both nights. Friday night there is also 2 farm stock tractor classes and saturday there are 2 pro farm classes.
