We are trying to get a feel for how many guys we could get to come out and go racing. Weather you guys wanted to race a 1/8mi or a 1/4mi. The 1/8mi is in Grove City MN and the 1/4mi would be BIR!

One of the members of our Triple D group was racing at BIR this weekend and was approced by the GM about a diesel race and such. We just want to see how much intrest there was in the area for a weekend or a day of solid diesel racing. We are talking our Diesel Trucks as well as SEMI's!

This could turn into a larger event with Truck pulls, etc. But, to do ANYTHING we NEED to have a real interest!

We could possibly have a track day before the snow flies this year, if we TRUELY have enough interest.

This has the potential to grow into another National event like IRP or May Madness.

Where is BIR? Brainard International Raceway?

If so count me in for sure and about 3-4 of my buddies are williing to go at the drop of a dime. I wouldn't realy be interested in a 1/8 mile race, i'd like to see a 1/4 mile.

Josh, There are a lot more Ford guys and Chev guys than Dodges here in Minn so with them constantly yanking our chains you should hit them to come too. Have them go head to head with real trucks. haha. That is if they can make it to Brainerd. After all it's a whole 150 miles. We might have to have some DCTD tow trucks along the way haha. Maybe a cool down area for the Chevs too. It's 1300 feet ASL so that about a 600 ft hill over 150 miles. Chev is going to have to work hard to make it.

As big as BIR is possibly they could set up a pulling area too. It would be a huge draw. They used to have a mud pit too years ago.

 

Yea good idea Bentwings, invite them all out. The more the merrier.

I've never been up the the BIR yet, what are their rules, how much to race?

If I ever get this clutch mess worked out, I will be there. well i guess that i could always show up with the GF gas 2500 and mine on the back of it in tow lol . and out pull some fords ...

 

I will be in MN until July 18. I would be interested if it is going to happen that soon. Also, if my truck gets fixed. I had problems coming here (story posted in help!).

 

Well right now we are just getting a feel for the interest level. By the sounds of things, we may start out doing a shared event wtih just drag racing. If that draws enough then it could move up to bigger and better things.
