CAT 3126 and C7 turbos
This may be already out there, but I thought I would throw it out here anyway. There have been alot of talk inquiries about the Schwitzer turbos used on many hybrid setups that derive from the 3126 or C7 engines.
The part numbers for the high hp turbos 250hp to 330hp are:
All 3126 serial ranges
CAT part number: 191-8028 Reman:OR7569
For high hp C7's from 250 to 350hp
Part #228-3228

Monty, you don't know how tempting it is to pop the hood on that Sterling every day and see that Schwitzer (complete with 4" turbo mount E-brake) sitting there with only 4 bolts holding it on. "Honest, boss, it was there just yesterday!" I wonder how the kitty would like a H1C/E hybrid?

How about an airreasearch turbo from a JD 619? Almost double the displacement of our trucks so I don't think that would work.
What about a Bosch or Airresearch off a JD 466? A bit closer to our displacement. Neither have wastegates though.
do I hear TWINS!!!!

The reman airresearch is $750 new from JD
The other option was not a Bosch, It was a Schwitzer, to the tune of $490 reman from JD
The Airresearch for the 619 is *get ready!!* $1260 for a Reman
Schwitzer for the same application is same price
The Schwitzer that comes on that 8210 runs $837, and it looks like the compressor outlet makes a 90* turn, which may not be easy to fix on our trucks.
The only problem I see is the lack of wastegates on any of them. You can call many used tractor parts places and find the airresearch or schwitzer off a 466. JD used 466's in everything for a long time!
