Whoa, the dog of all CTD engines, really? I mean, I know the vp pump isn't the best pump on a Cummins motor. That still doesn't mean that it's the slowest. I think the 98-02 Cummins are the cheapest motors to get 500-600 horses out of them. For instance, a 600hp 98-02 would need a drag comp, 200hp sticks, and a 66 turbo. You don't know if the dodge this guy was talking about had an auto or stick? I own a so called "dog of all CTD engines" and there's no ford (7.3 or 6.0) that can run faster with the same amount of money invested on mods.

Dude, relax. Drag comp, 200 sticks and a 66 turbo huh? What are you gonna do about the lift pump, the transmission, how about that VP? My point was that from what I've gathered people either want a 12v or a Common Rail these days, the 24v isn't really topping the list......I'm not the first ctd fan to call the 24v the dog of the Dodge/CTD engines.

Well it is the dog of engines. Who's gonna say a VP Cummins is better then a 12V or CR ???????

Ive never heard of a VP44 swap into a 12V or CR, but I I hear of p pump and CR swaps all the time.... I wonder why.

Well at leat its better then a VE.
