well with that last post by CTD NUT, i have a question, know would that have something to do with the gears not having a good top speed, we only got 4:10's. we are getting Mach IV's weds., should that do anything for the top speed? now once we put these new injectors in we should have well over 500Hp and close to 1000 ft lbs at the rear wheels. i would think that should do something. also do any of you have any ideas how to keep the EGT's down with Smokin' Thunder? when towwing anything you cant go past 3/8 throttle with out hitting 1200* pre-turbo. just wondering. thanks for all the info and keep it coming.

The problem with 4.10's is that your gonna hit the rev limiter earlier than you would with a 3.54. I can do 120mph in my truck with 3.54s and that's at 2700rpm with maybe 300hp. You should easily be able to do over 120 with the power you have but your gearing is only gonna let you do 110mph for instance. The 500hp is only gonna let you get to your top speed that much quicker. You get what I'm saying?

I am running 315's with 4.10. I know I have room to run above my 118 limit as far as RPM goes. I have yet to get 1/4 times. But a 1.8 0-60 would be pretty darn impressive. I am putting down right around 500hp and 900trq and the quickest 4wd lauch at 25-27 psi I could get was a 2.08.

Obviously I have a lot of work left to do, but just throwing some numbers out there. Any Idea what a decent shop would charge to restud and o-ring the head? What about porting and polishing and a valve job? Has anyone taken the time to polish the runner on the intake manifold and seen any decent number from it?

Sorry I am somewhat new to Diesels but it seems like the same theory applies to getting air in and out in the smoothest and fastest way possible?
