July 2-3, Willie Nelson's First Annual Truck/Tractor pull, Carl's Corner, TX
I just got the flyer yesterday...
July 2-3 Willie Nelson's 1st Annual Truck/Tractor pull and Chili/Bar-B-Que Cook Off.
Carl's Corner, TX (North of Hillsburo on I35 East & FM2959 Exit 374)(That should get you close.)
Exhibition Truck Pulls both Days. (4x4 trucks, Econo Rods, small Mods, Diesel Trucks.. whatever shows up.) There will not be any real classes for the Diesel trucks.. It will basically be Run-What-Ya-Brung.. They will have scales, if you want to weigh..
This would be a good chance for you DeLeon pullers to get some passes in.. They pulled about 10-12 trucks last weekend in Stephenville.. No one broke (at least not when I Left) not much smoke.. If there is enough interest this would be a good time to get some trucks/people together to maybe discuss starting a class??Rules.. This is the only sled in the area that I know of that can handle the trucks.
RFD TV is supposed to be there filming..
Antique Tractors will start pulling at 11 on Sat.. The others will make passes mixed in with the Antiques.. (as time allows) Normally pull the full group of Trucks/mods/whatever at the end of the night..
Pulling Schedule
Registration begins: 8am
Saturday 11-? (I don't know if they have lights.)
Sunday 1-5pm

That sounds like a good weekend excursion. If I am free that weekend I may bring my antique tractor for the pulls. Is there a web site with more details and info?

Hemi, I posted more info on the Antique's on the YTMAG.com website in the tractor pulling forum.. Antiques classes will be Saturday starting at 11.. and sunday starting at 1.
The rules will be NATPA rules.. no cut tires in Div II.. and 3.5mph in Div III, like I said NATPA rules.. Not sure if they are going to have a practice pull on Friday night.
I'll have at least one Antique there.. maybe 3..

gun.. I need to fix that on the post.. the $30 is for the concert... $5 for the pulls... For the tractors is a $15 hook fee...
Thanks for posting it on the Stroker page...
This isn't my event.. I'd just like to see as many diesel come to the event.. I'll be there pulling anyways...

Is Whiteright that weekend??? That's good pull... I'll send you an PM... The pull in Stephenville was last weekend.. only pulled about 10-12 trucks.. only one with enough fuel to smoke.. and none with a clutch good enough to get a fair launch...

No one missed anything at this pull... I guess any power went to one of the other pulls... Whiteright... or the other pull in Snyder... even the tractor numbers were very low...

We just got back from Whiteright/ Thank goodness for designated drivers. Im looped beyond recognition. Plenty and I mean plenty of power in Whiteright.
Two sleds and two tracks side by side for hours. Seriously Cool! More gassers than diesel by 100 to 1, but still way cool. A few hardcore Smoker tractors and the Texas Bullwhip ( a twin turbo alcohol rig....way cool )
Great time. Loads of pix will be up sometime next week!
Blown alcohol 4x4 and 2x4 one after another. Best 10 bucks I have spent in years.
Hillbilly heaven for sure.

Yea.. that is an Good pull... (Especially For TX, not much for smokers.) Have a few friends that run some Mods.. This was his 3rd pull on the machine.. looks like he did OK.. ( 9th, 9th, and 7th.) Bullwhip is an odd machine... He's run it with just the V8's.. or the IH I6.. or both... but he got the bugs out of it.. last time I saw it he had 3 chargers on it...
Did they pull any diesel trucks??? Heard it was going to be Outlaw machines only??? Don, you going to make it to DeLeon this year???
